How long does the battery last?
SEEK GPS unit is highly intelligent and has many power saving modes which can extend the battery life up to 28 days.
How long does it take to charge the battery?
The SEEK GPS unit will take between 2-3 hours to fully recharge.
Can I use it internationally?
Yes you can however you will need to activate global roaming at an additional charge of $1 per day. Please contact LiveChat or firstname.lastname@example.org for assistance in getting ready for your travels.
What are the on-going costs?
NutTAG SIM cards are embedded in the GPS with 12 months subscriptions – so they are ready for use out of the box. There are no contracts, so you can let the subscription expire and not renew, if you choose. Note the basic subscription doesn't include SMS credit.
What is GPS?
GPS is used for real-time or live tracking, see location activity and manage your GPS features via the easy to use Mobile App and Web Portal.
How accurate is the location?
NutTAG SEEK GPS technology can be within 2-5m of accuracy.
What is a Geo-fence?
A Geo-Fence or Safety Zone is a pre-defined perimeter around a location which you can draw on the map. A virtual fence. If your GPS exits or enters this area, a notification will be sent to the App & Web Portal.
How are notifications delivered?
You will receive push notifications via the App & Web Portal.
Why does it need a SIM card?
The GPS unit will send its reporting information data via the 3G network to the cloud. The unit also has SMS and two-way communication ability.
What is included in the subscription?
A subscription includes SIM, 12 months of national SIM Data, Support, Portal and App access.
What’s the difference between Bluetooth and GPS?
GPS devices use a global positioning system, being Satelites to determine its location. The SEEK GPS sends this location information and other alerts data via the Cell Network (Telstra / Vodafone) to the cloud to be read through your App and Online Portal. Bluetooth is a short-range connectivity technology which operates up to 60 meters, great for keeping track of Keys, Wallets, and items you keep near to you.
Do I pay extra for SMS?
Yes, this is not included in your plan, alerts (e.g. low battery, geo-fence, falls, SOS etc.) can be sent via SMS to your desired number at 22 cents per message for local and 75 cents per SMS for international *in addition to the subscription plan.
Why are there multiple SIM options?
SIM providers have differing coverage areas nationally and Internationally. Telstra has the best coverage Within Australia & NZ and operates well in the USA. Vodafone coverage is less effective in rural areas within Australia and effective in Europe, South America and Asia.
